8 hours on a road like this!

S woke up 05.00 to drive out to a community 4 hours there 1 hour stop to pick up one of the young aboriginal clients and 4 hours back to Alice on road like this!!! Bumby and sandy! Good they got a rented big 4 wheel drive that would be able to handle any road trouble.....and they brought plenty of water.

Every year tourists drive on road like this unprepared with to little gas, no food or water or communication material and the get stuck and no other traffic comes......what happens with them you can guess....some leave the car and goes to find water and some stay under a tree close to the car. After 2 days with the temperature between 35-45 you dont feel so good....

Anyway S have some experienced people with him every time he goes to a community. This day they had to send a client to participate in the families sorrow business, when someone die, it's extremly unrespectful and not even accepted not to participate regardless of where you live. Only if you are really sick and stay in a hospital. Every aboriginal familymember have a special role to fill. White fellows can't attend at all. The aboriginal culture is very intresting and we are so glad to experience bits of it!

Homemade pizza and a cold beer was ready for S to digg into after his trip! Just to bad Sweden is out of footboll!!!! Well we still have the Aussies to go for, hope Italy have a bad day in next game!!!!

Weekendshopping

Waiting for S to come back from a community so we can do our weekend shopping at Coles. Weather is still great but the coldest in 30 years they say. -5 in the night but in the day you can sit with almost nothing on in the sun up to +20. To bad our nice pool is not heated it would be great to be able to swim now when I am a bit heavier and clumsy, but the temperature in the pool is down to 0 in the night and doesn't heat up!

Now I have exactly 2 weeks to go to my due date. Start to feel that the baby push downwards. Still lots of movements in all the belly at the same time. Feel the feet pushing out on the right side a lot and hiccups mostly from left side (could be the back). My doctor guess the baby is going to be a medium size between 3-4 kg. I feel good, eat and sleep like normal but start to get a bit restless because of the upcoming event.....Now I need to prepare mentaly with relaxation cds. In maximum 4 weeks the baby is here!

Nail treatment by a 7 year old!

Here comes the result of my nail treatment 15 minutes, both hands with country flags as motives (because of the world cup!), how many countries can you find on my nails.....that's the question! Our friends 7 year old also made her own nails and painted them black and therefore risk suspension from school! Hi hi we just had to encourage her...... havent heard from school yet though!?

Friday afternoon was spend at a beauty place in a massage chair, relaxation music, drink and S in the chair next to me getting the same treatment exept the pink varnish!?: 75 min of care of neglected feet: spa soak, exfoliation, removal of hard calluses, foot and lower leg massage (the best), paraffin bath, total cuticel and nail care with pink varnish!!!! See the result!

How big is my belly now?

This is how big my belly is now when I have gone 254 out of 281 days, (week 37). No stretchmarks yet = lucky me! This morning I have been sitting in the sun reading about Angelina and Brads baby and other famous people, it's great to have time to sit and read "gossip" magazines slowly and drink coffee and plan for the future or dream about all the fun possibilities that lay a head of us!!! I/we have so many things to look forward to!

Isabellas anchestor scrapbooking slowly proceeds, its just so many names, dates and stories that are almost lost! But I give it a good try, I do have a few years to finish it.....

Hope we win in soccer tonight!

The socceros played very well in their first game and people here are wild about the worldcup, last time they played was 1974!!!!!!

23 days to go and I feel soo good, eating a little to much but everything just taste so good, what can I do! I have been very good up to now...... anyway inside I feel like the picture....calm and cool! Babybag is packed. Birthplan written. Way of birth discussed. Friends newborn babies have been visited. I just can't believe I have a little perfect human being inside my belly!? She is still very active and move my belly so it looks crocked and not even. Anyway I feel ready to go and S say the same! We are going to be parents!!!

Winter is here.

In Alice winter is here which means temperature between -2 during the night and +15 during the day. Every day is sunny so as long as you stay in the sun there is no problem. Many people suffer here but I just love it, it feels like a clear, sunny, bright autum weather and the air is so fresh! People snuggle up here with heater, woolrugs, electric blankets, wooly scarfes, hats and gloves. Then you see the dutch or german tourist walking in shorts and t-shirts sunburned next to the fully coated aussie!!! That looks fun!

Thanks friends, family and grandparents for the great support! We have got all this cute gifts including the cot from you guys and we are so happy!!!!!!!!!!!! Now we just need to fill the cot with a little person and we are set to go!!!!

27 days to go!

Baby is very active and moves around in the belly. It's facinating to see how the baby reacts to music like Jack Johnsons cd "In between dreams" that we listen to a lot. He's a surfer guy and plays mellow good music, perfect for cleaning the house or driving the car or as a background music when people are around!!! We also listen to baby Einstein music a cd S just bought and some relaxation cds.

Our baby will be a cool one with diffrent styles of outfits, this is one we had to buy: Kizz me!!!!!!!!!!!!

My new hobby!?

I thought that knitting a shirt for a baby would be a easy task, even though I haven't seen any knittingmaterial since highschool when I was 12 years old! But after some internet search and my mothers good advice I got the instruction on how to start.....what you see is about 20% of the end result and it has taken me days and hours of concentration and shoulderpain!!!! It's really difficult but give me 6 more month ......We call this style Icelandic shirt and I had one when I was a kid.

If I only knew how much effort was put into making a shirt like this I would have been more grateful that christmas I opened my soft "boring" christmas gift!?

Cravings?

I don't really have cravings except from chockladcake sometimes....... I eat lots of veggies and fruits and specially melons of all kind!!!!!! Watermelon, honey, net they are all so good! I drank lots of ice water in the beggining and no coffee but my coffee taste is back, now I drink light coffe with lots of milk and no sugar! baby gets hiccups everytime I eat or drink which is a funny feeling!

Robbie Williams, entertain us!

Four tickets to the big concert is in S pockets from today!!! We are so happy and look forward to our first big outing after the baby is born. Babysitters fly from the other side of the world and we are greatful! The weather is beautiful sun and the crisp air but without the heaters the evening would be cold inside. This weekend there is going to be a big desert race called Finke. Motorbikes, buggy, cars drive for 2 days in the desert and LOTS of people go camping, drinking make barbecue along the race roads. It s a huge event once every year, specially if you like things that wrooom!

Wow I managed to add a photo!

I have a knitting project that I hope I will be succesful with, the result will be posted as a photo later on. I enjoy my free time and feel very good. My belly is big and the one inside very active, but a good thing she let me sleep every night now and I read somewhere that the sleepingpattern before birth can be the same after birth...... can we be so lucky?! Probably not! I cant wait untill we will hold our baby and look into her eyes!!! S is off to the big city for a conference and the salty surfing beach for his last real holiday before beeing a daddy!!!

Fingerfood at babyshower-good or bad?

I ate a small piece of cold chicken and sausage at our babyshower and since then I have been sick. Vomiting, diarrea, stomachpain, baby kicking like it tries to get out of there......last night we decided to wait to the morning to go to ED for tests. The night and morning has been good, baby calm, stomach relaxed, I can breath, I can eat and drink plenty of water!!! So on the 4 th day of my mat leave I will go to town!!! S is working hard with staff problems and can't wait until he get more freetime!
